From Apprentice to
Senior Contracts Manager
Brendan Doherty started his career as a plastering apprentice over 45 years ago. He went on to become a Senior Contracts Manager for a top-ten UK construction contractor, responsible for projects with values up to £50 million — hospital developments, commercial buildings, residential schemes.
That experience taught him something most domestic builders never learn: how to plan properly, manage a programme, control costs and coordinate multiple trades without chaos.
In 2019, he brought that professional discipline to domestic construction in Nottinghamshire. Doherty Build is a small, focused team of 6 experienced builders who deliver every project with the same rigour and attention to detail that major developments demand.
